Founded in Malta

Interbrands began as Austria Tabak Malta Ltd., setting up cigarette manufacturing for Malta and export to Africa, soon becoming a trusted tobacco partner.

1985

Strategic Brand Collaborations

Secured production agreements with Philip Morris International and Gallaher Group, bringing renowned international brands into the hands of Maltese consumers.

2005

Family-Led Transformation

Transitioned to full Maltese ownership, rebranded as Interbrands, and began evolving from manufacturing to importation and distribution.

2014

Moving into Coffee & Tea Sector

Entered the HoReCa segment by importing and supplying premium coffee, later expanding our portfolio to include teas.

2024

New Partnerships, New Categories

Signed an exclusive agreement with Societe BIC, distributing BIC Lighters and Shavers in Malta and strengthening our portfolio of global consumer brands.
